June 9th - Zoo Day. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. 9am-1pm. Tickets include admission, patch, and workbook. $3 for all zoo members, $4 for non-scouts ages 3-11, $5 for scouts in uniform, $7 adult non scouters. For more information, contact Fritz Mueller 219-2906.
June 15th - Circus. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. 7:30pm at the World Arena. Tickets need to be purchased NO LATER THAN JUNE 1st through Laura Clark. Cost is $10 per ticket, which includes admission (upper level) and a patch.
June 23rd-24th - Gem and Mineral Show. At the Phil Long Expo Center. Saturday 10am-6pm. Sunday 10am-4pm. Free to scouts in uniform. Free Gold panning and an educational kids area (hands on).
July 24th-27th - Day Camp. A Pirate’s Life at Fox Run Park. Registrations have already been placed. Contact Liane Wilson for more information: (719) 495-7578.
July 27th - Scout Day at Sky Sox Stadium. $10 per ticket by July 13. Contact Gregg Jones for more information: (719) 597-1449 ext. 123.
August 18th - Black Forest Parade. Optional Pancake Breakfast from 6:30am-10am. Parade assembles between 9am-10:30am. Parade begins ad 10:30am and lasts about an hour. To sign up, e-mail Laura: LeaderLaura@aol.com
August 24th-27th - Pack 70 Family Camp. Pike Community, Colorado. There are NO camping fees. Just bring along and outdoor games that might be fun; a soccer ball, baseball mitt and ball, horseshoes, etc. You will provide your own food (BBQ on Saturday night will be provided by the pack). August/September - Cub Scout Resident Camp. Wild Wild West Cub Resident Camping at Camp Alexander. Registrations have already been placed. Contact Liane Wilson for more information: (719) 495-7578.
Extra Den Event. Don’t take the summer off from Cub Scouts! If you get together as a Den over the Summer, you can give your scouts credit. Think of something fun to do as a den: go hiking, bowling, for a bike ride, have a kite flying day, plant a tree, etc.
